DECATUR, AL – (April 25-26, 2026) Final results of the Burningtree Junior Amateur held at Burningtree Country Club in Decatur, Alabama, April 25-26, 2026.

Wilson Schmitz of Huntsville, AL, shot an outstanding overall score of four-under par 140 to secure first place in the Boys 14-18 Age Division. 
  • Silver Medalist: Bibb Wahl of Homewood, AL (148)
  • Bronze Medalist: Steven Lamp of Decatur, AL (150)

In the Boys 12-13 Age Division, Troy Elmore of Valley Head, AL took home gold with an overall score of 152.
  • Silver Medalist: Garrison Sparks of Owens Cross Roads, AL (176)
  • Bronze Medalist: Cannon Rainer of Rainsville, AL (181)

Kennedy Cox of Hoover, AL finished the tournament with an overall score of 178 to secure first place in the Girls 12-13 Age Division.
  • Silver Medalist: Kaitlin Johnson of Pelham, AL (198)
  • Bronze Medalist: Anne Collins Gourgeot of Decatur, AL (211)

In the Boys 9-11 Age Division, John Chappell of Homewood, AL claimed first place with an overall score of 148.
  • Silver Medalist: Landon Cunningham of Huntsville, AL (149)
  • Bronze Medalist: Tucker Cole of Huntsville, AL (152)

Cayse Ackerman of Kimberly, AL was victorious in the Boys 9-11 (9-Hole) Age Division with an overall score of 80.
  • Silver Medalist: Adam Welch of Huntsville, AL (81)
  • Bronze Medalist: Taylor Price of Vestavia HIlls, AL (85)

In the Girls 9-11 (9-Hole) Age Division, Evelyn Brown of Vestavia Hills, AL took home gold with an overall score of (83).
  • Silver Medalist: Piper Bolan of Moulton, AL (85)
  • Bronze Medalist: Fuller Denson of Mountain Brook, AL (86)

Jax Key of Kimberly, AL was victorious in the Boys 6-8 Age Division with an overall score of 78.
  • Silver Medalist: John Isaiah Baker of Hoover, AL (83)
  • Bronze Medalist: Johnathan Webb of Harvest, AL (100)

The 2026 JGA Tour continues with its second event of the year, the Cider Ridge Junior Amateur, May 27-28, 2026. 

The JGA Tour is conducted by Junior Golf Alabama.
