Final Results of the Bent Brook Junior Amateur

Girls 6-8 Division and Boys 14-18 Division champions of the JGA Tour Bent Brook Junior Am 

BESSEMER, AL – (June 11, 2025) Final results of the Bent Brook Junior Amateur held at Bent Brook Golf Club in Bessemer, AL on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.

Asher Franklin of Birmingham, AL, was crowned champion of the Boys 14-18 Age Division, carding an overall score of 4-over par 146. Ben Wetta of Vestavia, AL, took home second place, and Ethan Green of Vestavia Hills secured third.

In the Girls 14-18 Age Division, Lily Kate Mure of Helena, AL finished the tournament with an overall score of 172 to claim victory. 

Joe Hamilton of Mobile, AL and Cash Nelson of Bessemer, AL each carded an impressive overall score of four-under 138 to stand tied for first in the Boys 12-13 Age Division. After a scorecard playoff, Hamilton was awarded the first-place medal, and Nelson took home the second-place medal.

Will Ness of Hoover, AL took home third place with an overall score of 143. 

In the Girls 12-13 Age Division, Elizabeth Chappell of Homewood, AL secured the gold medal with an overall score of 196. 

Kennedy Cox of Hoover, AL had an overall total of 201 to take home the silver medal in the Girls 12-13 Division. 

John Chappell of Homewood, AL claimed the title in the Boys 9-11 Age Division with an overall tournament total of 160. Claiming the silver medal with an overall score of 161 was Manning Askew of Oxford, AL and Landon Cunningham of Huntsville, AL took home bronze with a total score of 163 in this division. 

Emmett Franklin of Pelham, AL was victorious in the Boys 9-11 (9-Hole) Age Division with an impressive overall score of one-under 70. 

Tristan Cook of Birmingham, AL and Crew Cawyer of Homewood, AL both carded an overall total of two-over 73. After a scorecard playoff, Cook won, leaving him to take home the silver medal and Cawyer to take home the bronze. 

In the Girls 9-11 (9-Hole) Age Division, Mackenzie Brown of Mobile, AL posted an overall score of three-over 74 to be named champion of this division. 

Ellie Aultman of Mountain Brook, AL was named runner-up in this division, and Kaitlin Johnson of Pelham, AL secured third. 

John Collins Cease of Mountain Brook, AL earned gold in the Boys 6-8 Division with an 18-hole score of 75 (Male and Female 6-8 Age Divisions play a total of 18 holes, 9 each day). 

Cayse Ackerman of Kimberly, AL took home silver in this division, carding a 77, and Grayson Tighe of Huntsville, AL secured bronze with an overall score of 82. 

In the Girls 6-8 Age Division, Fuller Denson of Mountain Brook, AL and Olivia Aultman of Mountain Brook, AL each carded overall scores of 102 to stand tied for first in the Girls 6-8 Division. After a scorecard playoff, Denson was awarded the first-place medal, and Aultman took home the second-place medal. 

Coming in third with a total score of 110 is Adelyn Duncan of Wetumpka, AL in this division.
