Final Results of the Blackberry Trail Junior Amateur

FLORENCE, AL – (July 1-2, 2025) Final results of the Blackberry Trail Junior Amateur held at Blackberry Trail in Florence, Alabama, July 1-2, 2025.

Liam Hooton of Harvest, AL, had an impressive first round posting of one-under followed by a second round of one-over. Overall, Hooton finished the event at even par to claim victory in the Boys 14-18 Age Division. 

Levi Luedke of Killen, AL, took home silver, shooting five-over 149. Coming in third place with an overall total of 10-over, Boone Thigpen of Muscle Shoals, AL. 

In the Girls 14-18 Age Division, Laney Gough of Athens, AL, finished the tournament with an overall score of 12-over 156 to claim victory. 

Rebekah Putman of Tuscumbia, AL, was named runner-up, finishing at 19-over par 163. Maryanna Delbert of Florence, AL, took home third with an overall score of 173.

Chet Miller of Vestavia, AL and Zac Nelson of Florence, AL each carded an overall score of seven-over 151 to stand tied for first in the Boys 12-13 Age Division. After a scorecard playoff, Miller was awarded the first-place medal, and Nelson took home the second-place medal.

Preston Greenhaw of Florence, AL took home third place with an overall score of 152. 

In the Girls 12-13 Age Division, Kennedy Cox of Hoover, AL finished the tournament with an overall score of 194 to claim victory.

Landon Cunningham of Huntsville, AL claimed the title in the Boys 9-11 Age Division with an overall tournament total of 156. Claiming the silver medal with an overall score of 159 was Oliver Berry of Athens, AL and Conner Parks of Huntsville, AL took home bronze with a total score of 181 in this division.

Emmett Franklin Champion of Pelham, AL was victorious in the Boys 9-11 (9-Hole) Age Division with an 18-hole score of seven-over par 80. 

Tristan Cook of Birmingham, AL claimed silver with a score of 81 and Luke Kendall of Hazel Green, AL posted an 18-hole total of 86 to take home bronze in this division.

John Isaiah Baker of Hoover, AL took home gold in the Boys 6-8 Division with an 18-hole score of 83 (Male and Female 6-8 Age Divisions play a total of 18 holes, 9 each day). 

Cayse Ackerman of Kimberly, AL took home silver in this division, carding an 84, and Hudson Tighe of Huntsville, AL secured bronze with an overall score of 86.

The 2025 JGA Tour continues with its fifth event of the year, the Goose Pond Junior Amateur, July 15-16.
