FOLEY, AL – (Aug. 28, 2023) Final results of The Beach Junior Amateur held at GlenLakes Golf Club in Foley, Alabama, August 26-27, 2023.

Within the Boys 14-18 Age Division, Bentley Van Pelt of Walnut Hill, Ala. earned gold with a 36-hole total of 142 (-2). Van Pelt was one of just two players to break par within all divisions, making a total of eight birdies. Garrett Jones of Daphne, Ala. carded a total 160 (+16) for both rounds to secure second. One stroke behind, Grayson Beck of Jackson, Ala. finished the final round with a 161 total for the tournament.
 
Addison Spears of Fairhope, Ala. carded a 36-hole total of 155 to secure first place within the Girls 14-18 Age Division. Sara Carter Hare of Spanish Fort, Ala. posted a 166 to earn second; Evelyn Lamar of Gulf Shores, Ala. finished with a 191 to earn third.
 
Alex Foster of Mobile, Ala. placed first within the Boys 12-13 Age Division, firing a 157 for the tournament. Walker Reissiger of Foley, Ala. carded a 163 to earn silver; Tyler Lindsey of Huntsville, Ala. posted a 175 to secure bronze.
 
Within the Boys 9-11 Age Division, Matthew Deroy of Foley, Ala. earned gold with a total score of 144. He broke par during Round Two, carding a 71 for the day. Joe Hamilton of Mobile, Ala. posted a 161 to stand second. Luke Farris of Hoover, Ala. carded a 200 to finish third.
 
Tristan Cook of Birmingham, Ala. carded an 18-hole total of 81 to finish in first place within the Boys 6-8 Age Division. Tommy Longshore of Chelsea, Ala. posted a 99 to earn second. Keegan Broka of Birmingham, Ala. earned third place with an 115.

The 2023 JGA Tour continues with its seventh event of the year, the Mobile City Junior Amateur hosted by Azalea City Golf Course in Mobile, Ala. in late September.
